Content Advising for German

For advising about study abroad, German course content, German courses related to your career, or advising for the TexES test, please contact Lana Rings (rings@uta.edu).

For degree plan advising, and to contact one of the two undergraduate advisors.

Undergraduate Studies in German

UTA students may major in German, minor in German, have a double major in German and another language, obtain an international business and German degree, or take German as an elective. UTA also offers a German studies component, in which students take courses in English in German history, philosophy, and literature. In addition to the curricular offerings described here, UTA's German program also offers service learning and internship opportunities to students who meet the requirements.

Graduate Studies in German

Students interested in graduate study in German language, literature, or linguistics are advised to consult Dr. Lana Rings (rings@uta.edu), Head of the German Section, about programs and financial aid available at UTA, universities in Texas, the United States, and abroad. Although we do not offer a master's degree in German at this time, we offer graduate level courses when there is sufficient student interest.
