The Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required of
students applying to the Graduate School at UTA. (Under specific circumstances
the GRE may be waived for those who received their B.A. from UTA. See
GRE Waiver or Advanced
Admission.)
Studying for the GRE
is highly recommended, and students are advised to obtain practice
books with actual previous tests. For more information, check the GRE
Web site.
Please note: If you are currently on a provisionary admittance
because of not having taken the GRE, you must take the GRE
within the first semester. You will not be allowed to register
for subsequent semesters if you have not taken the GRE. Also, the GRE scores
must reach the Graduate School before the end of your first
semester. It is your responsibility to take the GRE in mid-semester at
the latest so
that the Graduate School gets the officially reported scores before the official
end of the semester.
