Computer Facilities
Mac computer stations are maintained in the LAC and in TH 200, a specially-equipped mini-auditorium. The computer-based language resources include programs in French, Spanish, German and Russian. Users should be familiar with the basic Mac commands, but the LAC staff can provide assistance.
Video Facilities
All students and instructors may check out various video tapes and DVDs that are available in the language lab. Students must use media in the LAC during regular business hours. Only instructors may take materials out of the LAC.
Audio Facilities
Listening comprehension cassettes and CDs are available in all the major European languages. These include cassettes to accompany textbooks, readings from novels, dialogues, news programs and interviews. The LAC has substantial holdings at the intermediate and advanced levels in French, German, Portuguese, Russiand, and Spanish.
Moodle
The LAC serves streaming media and other digital materials via Moodle, an open-source, password-protected learning management system. Students may access MODL Moodle from any computer with an Internet connection.
