Dr. Baeva joined the faculty of The University of Texas at Arlington Department of Modern Languages in the fall of 2006.
In her second year at UTA, she revitalized the UTA Russian Society student organization. During the summer of 2008, she reinitiated the summer abroad Russian program leading students to study at the University of Voronezh. She currently teaches Russian language and Russian literature in translation in the Department of Modern Languages.
Since June 2006, she has been working as the literary editor for the Russian language art and literature periodical Listiya (Leaves) and is currently very active in the local Russian speaking community.
Prior to joining UTA, Dr. Baeva held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Intercultural Communications at the Academy of Public Administration in Voronezh where she organized an international conference for the use of innovation and technology in education. During her career as an educator, she has taught Philology, Russian Literature in English and Russian, World Literature, Linguistics, Translation, and English to Russian speakers.
Dr. Baeva's research interests are forms of Russian speech, narration, description, and discourse; uses of new educational technologies in process of teaching a foreign language.
