Dr. Georgia Seminet received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Her area of concentration is modern Latin American prose fiction. Her current research centers on metaphors of globalization in contemporary Latin American Literature and culture, as well as theories of space and memory. She has previously published in Revista de literatura mexicana contemporánea, Siglo XIX, Chasqui, Hispania, and the Journal for the Association of Humanities in Higher Education.
Dr. Seminet has been awarded a Faculty Development leave for 2008-2009 to work on her manuscript: Delirium, Chaos and Madness as Metaphors of Globalization in Contemporary Latin American Narrative.
