The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish

As you gain expertise in your major, consider a minor in a foreign language, such as Spanish.

People with foreign language ability have a distinct advantage in the career marketplace, and they use those skills to assist them in different fields, such as business, medicine, law, etc. Thus, minoring in Spanish is a great way for you to gain a distinguishing, marketable skill while opening your eyes to another culture.

Requirements for a Minor in Spanish:

  • 18 semester hours (excluding 1441), at least 9 of which must be beyond 2314 at the 3000 or 4000 level.

  • Note that 2314 must be passed with a grade of C or better before 3000 or 4000 level classes can be taken.
