Statement of Purpose and General Information: The Tony Litsey Memorial Scholarship was established by a bequest from the estate of Wanda Katherine Reardon Litsey, as specified in her Last Will and Testament, drawn up in September, 1973. The award(s) is/are intended for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Spanish at the University of Texas at Arlington. High school students who are planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Spanish at the University of Texas at Arlington are also eligible to apply.

Stipends:

• A maximum of $500.00 may be awarded to undergraduate recipients of the scholarship.
• A maximum of $1,000.00 may be awarded to graduate recipients of the scholarship.

Eligibility: Undergraduate students should have completed a minimum of 9 semester credit hours of upper division Spanish courses (e.g., 3000 and 4000 level courses) at UTA with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Spanish and with an overall college GPA of 2.5. Graduate students are to have completed a minimum of 9 graduate semester hours in Spanish at UTA with a minimum overall GPA of 3.5.
