UTA in Valladolid, Spain: Summer II 2009 Program Description and Itinerary

 

Curriculum

Students will attend 4 hours of classes Monday through Friday.

Tuition and fees include cost of instruction, course materials, excursions, social activities, and Internet access during the office hours of Universitas Castellae (9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.).
 

Itinerary


July 3, 2009

  • Depart DFW

July 4

  • Arrive Madrid
  • Bus travel to Valladolid (approximately 2.5 hours)
  • Arrive Valladolid
  • Accommodation with families or in Residence Hall

July 5

  • Placement Exams
  • Tour of city, visit to Museo de Escultura Policromada, and orientation
  • Reception

July 6

  • Classes begin

August 6

  • Classes end

August 7

  • Final exams
  • Receipt of diplomas

August 8

  • Leave Valladolid

Excursions and Activities

  • Two excursions on Saturdays in July to places of historic and artistic interest in Castilla y León, such as the cities of Salamanca and Segovia.
  • Spanish film screening every week.
  • Other social activities.
